Manchin Does it Again, Tells Democrats He Will Not Support Their Climate Change Agenda Or Tax Increases [VIDEO]

On Thursday, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) threw another monkey wrench in the crazies’ agenda by telling the Democratic leadership that he will only support their budget reconciliation package if they got rid of the climate change and raising taxes parts.

Budget reconciliation packages do not have to go through a filibuster threat, which is one of the reasons why they can only do three of them a year. Reconciliation bills are supposed to deal with revenue, spending, and the debt limit, and Democrats are famous for throwing in many items that have nothing to do with a reconciliation bill. Climate change should not be included in a reconciliation bill.

According to NBC News, Manchin supports parts of the Democrat’s budget like a provision lowering prescription drugs but not the crazy stuff that will get us into even deeper trouble with the economy.

By Manchin not supporting this bill, he’s holding up massive climate change policies and a plethora of new taxes that the Democrats are trying to push through. Both of those items are nothing more than a scheme for the Democrats to get more of your money.

The Democrats are trying to pass a bill prior to the September date when the ACA will allow an insurance premium hike. They know they’re going to lose control of the Congress, so they want to screw the Americans who are unfortunate enough to have to be on Obamacare prior to that.

Sam Runyon, a spokesman for Senator Manchin, told NBC News that trying to increase government spending during an inflation cycle is not the right answer. He said that if the Democrats’ package that has climate change and tax items aren’t paid for, then the senator will only support the smaller budget.

“Political headlines are of no value to the millions of Americans struggling to afford groceries and gas as inflation soars to 9.1 percent,” Runyon said. “Senator Manchin believes it’s time for leaders to put political agendas aside, reevaluate and adjust to the economic realities the country faces to avoid taking steps that add fuel to the inflation fire..”

Why is Manchin still a Democrat? He’s already better than a lot of RINOs.

Manchin told Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) he will only support a “narrow budget reconciliation package before Labor Day if it does not include new spending to fight climate change or taxes on wealthy individuals or corporations,” and he will support a filibuster-proof economic bill, . The WV senator was referring to a reconciliation package. He had better hire a food taster.

Since reconciliation avoids the filibuster, it only needs a simple majority in the Senate. So, unless a RINO Republican helps out the Democrats by joining them in the vote, and they have been helping them for a lot of things so far, Manchin’s posture will kill the deal.

Some tax and spend Democrats took to attacking Manchin on social media. Martin Heinrich (who?), a US Senator for New Mexico, tweeted out an attack on Manchin.

“We have an opportunity to address the climate crisis right now. Senator Manchin’s refusal to act is infuriating. It makes me question why he’s Chair of ENR.” (The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources)

Senator Heinrich is not the senator from West Virginia. He should represent the people of New Mexico and let Joe Manchin represent his own constituents. If he loses in the Senate vote, well, that’s called democracy, isn’t it? Too many leftists believe US Senators represent everyone in the country. They don’t.

Heinrich is a perfect example of why we need to repeal the 17th Amendment. Prior to the 17th, senators were elected by state legislatures. That meant, if they went to Washington, DC and didn’t represent their state, their state legislature could recall them and replace them. The House of Representatives was created to represent the people while the Senate was created to represent the states. The 17th Amendment changed that and made Senators electable by the popular vote of the people. It was the worst thing that ever happened to the US Senate because now instead of being loyal to their states, senators are loyal to Washington, DC.

AOC chimed in to thank the god-king complex for his attack on a fellow Democrat.

“Courage. Thank you for saying this [email protected]”

Courage. Thank you for saying this Sen. @MartinHeinrich https://t.co/4WSQ8VGyyI

— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 15, 2022

Not only is AOC not from West Virginia, she isn’t even in the Senate. She is a glass of water with a D on it from the Bronx. She should represent the people in her House district and let the senators tend to their own business.

Thanks to Manchin, the radical leadership of his party can only get a budget passed that resembles what he wants or they get no bill at all. This reconciliation package has no Republican support… so far. You gotta love the guy!
